At Hartson Funeral Home, we provide a service experience for families that is uniquely important.  If you or someone you know is pursuing a career in funeral care, has relevant experience, and can perform as required, then we may have good reason to talk. Do you like a fast-paced work environment? Are you capable of providing genuine compassion, empathy, and great service? We are looking for up-and-coming Funeral Directors/Embalmers. Qualified candidates will have 1 - 2 years of experience, either as an apprentice or funeral director. Here's more about the type of candidates we're looking for:

Funeral Embalmer Responsibilities:

• Assist families with all details of funeral arrangements
• Provide pricing information with delicacy and respect
• Care for the deceased including (but not limited to) embalming, dressing, cosmetology, casketing
• Arrange for transport of the deceased
• Provide funeral, visitation, and graveside services
• Treat each family with the utmost respect and kindness

Funeral Embalmer Qualifications:

• Hold an active Wisconsin funeral director's license (or another state’s license and meet Wisconsin’s licensing requirements)
• Associate's Degree in Mortuary Science
• 1 - 2 years experience as a Funeral Director
• Flexibility with hours
• Exceptionally high moral standards
• Willingness to provide services that align with our culture and the needs of our families

Funeral Embalmer Compensation:

• $45,000 - $55,000
• Comprehensive healthcare package including medical, vision, and life insurance
• IRA with company match
• Paid training and professional development
