Our family lost a gentle soul on Saturday, December 4, 2021, when Adam Tod Covington entered his final peaceful rest.
Adam was born in Milwaukee on August 22, 1975 to Nancy Covington Richlin and Vern Covington. He grew up in West Allis and attended West Allis Central High School.
Adam found great joy in time spent with family. He looked forward to extended family gatherings, treasured every moment with his immediate family, adored being silly with his nephews, and thought someday he would have a family of his own. He loved to play golf; a game his father and paternal grandfather taught him in his youth. Adam was also an avid and talented pool player, winning several tournaments throughout his life including a recent 8 ball break competition earning him major bragging rights and a good chunk of change. He appreciated the pine and birch trees, crisp cool lakes and childhood memories of summers spent in Northern Wisconsin.
Adam will be remembered for his willingness to help anyone in need, his kind eyes that offered a window to his soul, and a tender heart that won the love of many.
Adam is forever loved by those he left behind, father Vern Covington, sister Beth (Bob) Pinzer, half-sister Lauren Zimmermann, step father, Mike Richlin and his cherished nephews Jordan Johnson, Joey and Jackson Pinzer, aunts Sandra Horning, Cheryl Covington (Bob Gilbreath), and Nancy Covington, cousins Todd Covington, Michelle (Kevin) Samuelson, Michael (Julie) Capodarco Sr., Susie (Andy) Bilski, Sheridan Horning and several second cousins Alicia (Jordan) Truax, Allison (Abe) Rowe, Amya Covington, Michael Jr., Emily, Isabelle and Madelyn Capodarco, Mikayla, Ella and Elaina Samuelson, and Jack Bilski.
Adam will be reunited with his mother, whom he missed dearly, Nancy Richlin, grandparents Tod & Ruth Covington, Marie & Edwin "Moonie" Jepson, uncle Ron Covington, uncle Rich Horning and infant cousin Robert Vern Covington.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 17,2021 from 4-6pm followed by a 6pm service at Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 W. Janesville Road, Hales Corners, WI 53130. We invite you to come and join our family as we celebrate Adam. We also encourage you to honor Adam by picking up a pool cue and enjoying a game of billiards, gathering with family and being present in that moment, swinging a golf club, lending a hand to someone in need, or listening to the Beatles sing "In My Life".
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that came before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life, I'll love you more.
Adam, may you know peace that passes all understanding. We love you.
