Alan D. Einer was born June 20, 1938, in Cashton, WI. He passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side on October 22, 2021, at age 83, in Mukwonago.
Alan is survived by his wife Karen (Plucker), son Justin, daughter Kimberly Mackey (Les Gumieny) and grandchildren Owen and Josie Mackey. He is also survived by his sister Fern and the late Charles Seeman, his brother Marvin and the late Maybel Einer, nephews John "Mike" Seeman, Daniel Einer, Michael Einer, his niece Barbara Seeman and many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and cherished friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Herman, his mother Martha (nee Minzlaff), his mother-in-Law Grace (Charles) Zelenak and his nephew Douglas Seeman.
Alan attended Milwaukee Boy's Tech High School. He participated in many sports in school, but football is where he shined. He graduated in 1957.
Alan was an Army veteran.
He enjoyed many different hobbies such as racing homing pigeons, and model railroading. His heart and passion would become riding horses and competing in IRA Rodeos. Through friends and horses, he met his wife, Karen.
Alan and Karen married on December 9, 1967. While they still shared a life with horses, when children came along, their life transferred from the rodeo arena to supporting Kim and Justin in the horse show arena. He was a great horse show Dad and still enjoyed watching a good rodeo.
Alan retired from Rexnord in August 2000. After his retirement, he enjoyed using his many years of experience and knowledge to fix and maintain his fleet of farm equipment. Going so far as machining his own replacement parts for the outdated and often obsolete.
Alan will be missed by his family and his loyal canine companion, Loki.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to our Hospice nurse Dennis. Your care, consideration and your support were invaluable.
Per Alan's wishes, no formal service will be held.
