Albert "Al" Kolff born in sin March 4, 1947, liberated to glory by the blood of Jesus Christ, December 5th, 2021.
Precious husband of Sharon (nee Mettelmann). Papa, Daddy, Pops and Dad to Angela (Bauer), Andrea, Christopher (Jessica), and Lauren (Carlton). Adoring Grampy of Allie and Adeline. Beloved son of Arthur and Paule Kolff and Robert and Adeline Mettelmann. Big brother to Michael (Dianne) and Andrew (Vicki) and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Chosen "Dad," mentor, teacher, coach, chaplain, tech support repairman, friend, and "Big Al" to countless others.
There is so much more to say about his life, but he wouldn't want anyone to point to him. He would much rather that everyone heard about his wonderful Savor, Jesus Christ. He would want everyone to know that the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ, and that it is by grace that we have been saved through faith, not works of our own doing. If you don't have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, please reach out to Al's immediate family or Pastor Ben Snodgrass for more information.
In lieu of flowers, Al requested donations to Falls Church and OPC Family, Milwaukee Rescue Mission, or Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center.
Visitation Saturday, December 11th from 10:00 to noon at the church with service following. The service will be live streamed on the fallsopc.org site. The family is being served by Hartson Funeral Home.
