Alice Ann Hain, 83, was called home to Heaven on February 29th, 2016. She was born March 28th, 1932 in Clintonville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Louis and Linda (Krumbach) Frank. She graduated from the Milwaukee School of Nursing and spent the rest of her life dedicated to serving others as a Registered Nurse and psychiatric nurse. Most of her career was spent with Aurora Health Care and, after retiring, 13 years caring for the residents at Muskego Nursing Home. She was an active member of Hales Corners Lutheran Church, regularly participating in Bible study and prayer groups, and helping with church bulletins and mailings. She also volunteered her time sorting books for the Hales Corners Library book sales and also donated goods for the Bethesda store in Hales Corners. Alice enjoyed working outside, whether it was in her garden, taking care of the flowerbeds, feeding the birds and chipmunks, or doing battle with the squirrels. She was an excellent baker, especially of desserts, and her holiday meals were always highly anticipated. She enjoyed traveling, with Yellowstone National Park being a favorite destination. Lately, she enjoyed her trips to visit the grandchildren in Virginia and California or to visit her nieces and nephews in Illinois and North Carolina. Alice was a devoted wife to her husband Gilbert; a loving mother to Paul (Stacey), Fritz (Malinda), and Frank (Jessica); adored grandmother of Jordyn, Nash, Everly, Samuel John, Frankie Grace, and Finley Joy; and a caring sister to Irene Hansen (of Oak Park, IL). She was preceded in death by her sister Elfrieda, and had an incredibly special relationship with her mother, Linda. Alice was thoughtful and generous and a blessing to everyone around her. She strove to reflect Jesus in everything she did, as embodied by her life of service. Well done, good and faithful servant! A visitation will be held on Friday March 11th, 2016 at Hales Corners Lutheran Church at 12300 W. Janesville Rd. Hales Corners, WI 53130 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m.
