Born 6/28/24 in Menominee, MI to Axel and Violet Hansen. Passed away in the tender care of Heartland Hospice at Ridgewood Care Center in Racine, WI 9/5/16. Amy graduated from Menominee High School in 1942 and moved to Racine, WI in 1943 where she met her future husband, Richard H. Kristopeit, while working at Johnson Wax. They married on October 2, 1948. Alma enjoyed crafting, singing, playing cards, volunteering at the Marinette, WI Senior Center, and especially enjoyed her children and grandchildren. Amy is survived by her husband of 67 years, Richard, four sons and daughter in law, David (Trudy), Richard W. (Karen), Paul (Susan), and Robert (Carrie), 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Alma's family would like to thank the staffs at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, Ridgewood Care Center and Heartland Hospice for their loving care. A private memorial gathering for close relatives will be held at Mike and Angelos Restaurant, 6214 Washington Ave, 4pm on Sunday, September 11, 2016. In lieu of flowers, Alma's family has suggested donations be made to Alzheimers research or Heartland Hospice of Kenosha.
