Obituary

Alvin William Emmons Sr. joined his beloved wife Virginia Ann (Nelson), son William "Boo" Alvin, daughter Virginia Ann II, and his parents in eternal life on December 23rd, 2024 at the age of 87.

Father to Alvin "Bingo" (Deb) Emmons Jr., Roy (Beth) Emmons, Lucy (Jeff) Spoerk, Melanie Emmons Damian, Melissa McCarthy, Mary "Popie" Dhanji, Daniel "Tato" (Kristina) Emmons, and Virginia (Brett) Emmons McNaught; grandfather to Samantha, Zachary, Kaitlin, Alexandra, Reid, Nick, Kelly, Megan, Maya, Aliya, Zayne, Stephen, Sarena, Emma and Miles, and great-grandfather to Jade and Shelby, and Brother to Daniel Emmons and Mary (Rick) Elias and adopted brother, Sir John Mehringer.

Al was a Greendale resident for over 65 years, a graduate of Pius High School, and a Guardsman in the National Guard. He was responsible for the chimney art throughout Greendale and integral in the founding and legacy of Creative Construction as the 4th generation of a six generation plastering legacy.

He was founder of the Love Thy Neighbor Foundation and co-owner of Broad Street Coffee Co. He was a member of the Greendale Lions, Pioneers, Children's Garden, Historical Society, Chamber of Commerce and much more. His bright smile and red fedora hat will be missed around the Village.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 on Thursday, January 9th at St. Alphonsus Church in Greendale followed by a procession of the Village of Greendale Chimney Art and a 2:00 reception at The Eleanor Room and Field Workshop in the heart of the village of Greendale.
