Born to Alvin Zeimet (Sr) and Ruth (Knickabocker) Podorski on October 12, 1940, he now joins the love of his life Donna Ann (Noel) Zeimet (8/22/1944 – 11/21/21) his parents, in-laws, and many other loved ones, including his sweet granddaughter Megan Ray, in eternal rest; though heaven has gained an angel, we on this plain lost one.
Alvin aka Nick, served in the Marines as Sargent, Military Police.
He was a hard working man with 36 years at A.O.Smith passing his same work ethic onto his children. He was always very proud of his children's and then grandchildren's accomplishments in life.
Besides spending time with family and the love of his life Donna, Alvin enjoyed playing sheepshead, playing slots and blackjack, watching the Brewers, football, and basketball. He loved cars and all things history.
Nothing put a smile on his face more than a good home cooked meal or going out to eat, not to forget dessert.
His passing came unexpectedly, and we will miss having him here with us, but are comforted to know that he lived life to its fullest and is now reunited with his love Donna.
"When I must leave you for a little while, please do not grieve and shed wild tears and hug your sorrow to you through the years.
Start out bravely with a gallant smile and for my sake and in my name, live on and do all things the same.
Feed not your loneliness on empty days but fill each waking hour in useful ways.
Reach out your hand in comfort and cheer, and I in turn will comfort you and hold you near.
Never, never be afraid to die, For I am waiting for you in the sky." ~ Helen Steiner Rice
