Obituary

(neé Wiorek) was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on June 15, 1932, to Joseph Wiorek and Irene (Niemczyk) Wiorek.
Arlene lived as she was raised, to cherish the good in life. As God's word says, "Godliness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it." For her, life's simple pleasures were the most cherished. She loved to dance the polka, gardening, Kopp's custard, keeping a tidy house, Niemann's fairy food, and baking peanut butter cookies for loved ones. She enjoyed life in her own slice of heaven on lot 42 of Blue Spring Lake, Palmyra WI. She also took much joy in being of service to others.
Arlene spent many years dedicated to the WI chapter of the National Kidney Foundation in honor of her sister Audrey. She took legendary care of her many customers and friends at McCue's Tap. Later she was the head cook and all around person in charge of "keeping things on the rails" at McCue's Layton Heights Tap, along with her husband Rich, where her homemade soups & sandwiches for Milwaukee's second shift workers, late night and early morning crew kept the heart of our town running. In her early days, both she and her husband Rich worked at the Pentagon, in the service of our great country.
No one who met Arlene will ever forget her peanut butter cookies or the phrase "I love you more." She was known for being faithful, kind, and quiet, but those closest to her witnessed her hardworking spirit and the pride she took in her loved ones. Often, Arlene got up before the sun to do things like, read a book, rake weeds on the lake, watch the birds and fill out crossword puzzles before preparing Rich's grapefruit for breakfast, as well as anything else it took to keep her household running in tip top shape.
Arlene was born to eternal life on November 19th, shortly after a visit with a chaplain and having said the Lord's prayer. She was blessed to have spent the last 2 years closely with her family and children, who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, beautiful sister Audrey Polaski and "big brother, Bobby" Wiorek, and beloved husband, Richard A Mc Cue. She is survived by her children, Pam (Mc Cue) Enright (Riley) and Timothy Mc Cue (Erika), and grandchildren, MacKenzi, McCue, Caeli, and Keira.
