Arnold Dudzik, age 97, passed away peacefully on November, 22, 2024, and was called home to the Lord.
Arnold was born in Milwaukee. A proud Army veteran, he served his country with honor. After military service, Arnold worked for many years in the Transportation Department as a Freight Rate Specialist for Nordberg in Milwaukee. Throughout his life, he was known for his dedication, integrity, and strong work ethic. He was also very proud of his Polish heritage.
A life-changing chapter unfolded when Arnold met the love of his life, Joanne, a widow with twin boys who had been adopted out of foster care. Though he may not have known what he was stepping into, Arnold embraced his new role as a father with love, devotion, and unwavering commitment. He became a steadfast role model and a positive influence on the boys, guiding them through life with kindness and wisdom.
A passionate outdoorsman, Arnold enjoyed biking, golfing, fishing, and traveling to many destinations over the years. Some of his favorite trips included Wyoming, Colorado, and annual visits to Florida, but his top destination remained the beautiful Door County, a place he deeply cherished. Arnold also volunteered at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hales Corners, where he shared his time and talents.
Arnold's Catholic faith, family, and the balance between work and fun were always his priorities. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he dedicated much of his life to the happiness and well-being of those he loved. Above all, Arnold's greatest joy was spending time with his family. He cherished time spent with four grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and happiness. Arnold will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will remain in the hearts of his family forever.
Arnold is survived by his loving wife, Joanne (Bendel/Dorn) Dudzik; two sons, Jerome Dudzik and Jeffrey (Jennifer) Dudzik; and four grandchildren, Brittany Dudzik, Lauren Dudzik, Joseph Dudzik, and Emma Dudzik. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Helen Dudzik; his brother Raymond (Florence) Dudzik; and his daughter, Julie Dudzik.
