Barbara J. Butler, 67, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 8, 2018, at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.Barbara was born July 28, 1950, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the union of Leroy and Lillie Mae Butler.Barbara graduated from Lincoln High School in Milwaukee, in 1968. She went on to attend MATC for Cosmetology. Barbara met Jimmy Dodd in Milwaukee in 1969, from that loving relationship three children were born; Jimmy, Sherlanda and Ike Butler.Barbara accepted Christ at an early age and redirected her life back to Christ in 2002.Barbara was a beautiful and kind person. Among Barbara's many qualities, she was best known for her generosity and incredibly selfless nature. She stepped in to help raise some of her nieces and nephews, preventing a few from entering the foster care system.Barbara worked for Coach USA, Transit Bus Line and was currently employed with First Student in Waukesha. Barbara found much happiness in gardening, cooking, reading and spending time with family.Lovingly survived by her children Jimmy Butler(Wauwatosa), Sherlanda Butler (Waukesha) and Ike Butler (Waukesha). Cherished Grandmother of Lavon Butler, Jordan Faultersack (Georgia) Dwayne Walker, Mariah Dieter, Deondraya (Diamond) Putman, Asia Butler-Yeo and Bella Butler-Yeo. Proud great-grandmother of Ayla Walker, Dari Faultersack, Robert Johnson, Trinity Walker, Jaiden Dieter, Adrian Dieter, Malaysia Johnson and Shia Ann Walker. Beloved sister of Marilyn Virgil, Ronald Butler, Rudy Butler (Texas), Carolyn Butler, Beverly Butler and Tracy Butler.
