With a life rooted in love, family and quiet devotion, Barbara Ann Ruud age 87 went to be with the Lord, on October 1, 2026. She passed away peacefully in Muskego, Wisconsin after a brief illness.
Born in West Allis, Wisconsin, she moved to Muskego, Wisconsin in the early 1970’s and she spent her life dedicated to her family. Throughout the years, Barbara found enjoyment in traveling and taking care of her pets. Over the years, she also enjoyed hosting many family celebrations surrounding holidays such as Christmas and Easter, as well as birthdays.
Barbara will be forever remembered by her children: her oldest son, Bryan (Laura); her son, Ron (Laurel); and her daughter, Michele (George). Her grandchildren, Anthony (Brenna), Kirsten, and Kassidy; her great-grandchild, Layla; and an expected great-grandchild due in March 2027. She will also be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, dear relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Thomas Ruud; her parents, Albert Sr. and Ruth Shurkoff; her brother, Albert Shurkoff Jr.; and her granddaughter Ashley.
The family extends a sincere thank you to the staff at Caring Alternatives Assisted Living of Muskego for their dedicated and compassionate care.
She will be buried in a private ceremony.
