Bernadine R. "Bernie" ZimmerPassed away peacefully on Saturday October 6, 2018 at the age of 97 years. Preceded in death by her husband Arthur. Loving mother of Sandi Rady-King and Debby (Thomas) Sobocinski; grandmother of Mark Sobocinski, Melissa (Jesse) Chipman, Tammy Mazzoni-Becker (Josh), Jeremy (Jenny) Rady, Erica (Michael) Pergande and great-grandma of Jake, Josh, Julia, Autumn and Megan. Born on June 27, 1921 to Martin and Mildred (Aplin) Breindenbach in Eagle, WI, Bernadine was a long-time resident of Cudahy and active member of the United Church of Christ in South Milwaukee, WI. Bernadine retired after a long and successful career with Bay View Plastics of Oak Creek, WI. Bernie loved sewing, social activities and music. She enjoyed and fondly remembered her past association with neighbors, church and the Wilsonaires musical group of Milwaukee. Special thoughts of thanks and love are extended to Clement Manor Retirement Community's staff and residents where Bernie resided at the time of her passing. Visitation will be held on Saturday October 13, 2018 at Clement Manor's Chapel, 3939 South 92nd Street, Greenfield, WI beginning at 9 a.m. with a memorial service at 10 a.m. A private family interment at Arlington Park Cemetery will follow Saturday's memorial service."Bernie" will be dearly missed but always loved and remembered by all who knew her.
