(nee Oelhafen) passed away peacefully on August 17th, 2016 at the age of 86.  Beloved mother of Catherine (Dan) Knickelbein, Susan Brinsko, Jackie (Bill Dygon) Grigg, James (Denise), David (Joyce), and Charles.  Grandmother of Timothy, Deborah, Sarah, Nick, Katie, Jimmy, Courtney, and Melinda.  Loving great-grandmother of Maizie, Henry, and Benjamin.  She is also survived by her sisters Mabel, Meta, Dorothy, and Alice.  Preceded in death by her husband James, her parents, her brother Robert, and her granddaughter Emily. Remembered fondly by many students and staff of Prospect Hill Elementary School in New Berlin where she was a cook for over 21 years.  Bernice was an avid artist who worked with stained glass and water-colors among other media.A memorial service will be held at Heritage Homes Assisted Living Facility at 700 Welsh Rd. Watertown, WI 53098 on Sunday August 21st at 4 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to Heritage Homes Assisted Living Facility appreciated.
