Betty L. Conner was born on June 12, 1923, in Milwaukee, WI, and passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024.
She graduated from Washington High School and was a legal secretary for most of her working career.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Russell Conner. She is survived by her son Daniel (Diane) Conner, granddaughter Tracy (Keith) Jochims, and great-grandchildren Kate (Jonah), Sara (Travis) and Adam Jochims.
She was a very active person, bowling and golfing in many leagues until she was 94. She persuaded her husband and son to get into these sports also. She water-skied with her family into her 50's.
She volunteered for many years at West Allis Memorial Hospital in the discharge transportation area, delivered meals for the Meals on Wheels organization in New Berlin to many people younger than herself, and drove many people to their medical appointments She also volunteered at many of the major golf tournaments in Milwaukee.
One of her most enjoyable activities was being a member of the "Dancing Grannies", participating in numerous parades around the Milwaukee area.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Lexington Heritage Assisted Living in Greenfield, WI, and the Brighton Hospice for the care given to Betty.
Visitation will be at Bethel Lutheran Church, S77 W18426 Janesville Road, Muskego, WI 53150, on Saturday, November 9th, 2024 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm, with a service to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Bethel Lutheran Church are greatly Appreciated.
A private burial will be at Wisconsin Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
