Betty L. Savage (nee Oelhafen)Born April 9, 1926, found peace on January 3, 2019. She was preceded in death by Howard, her husband of 56 years whom she was devoted to caring for during his long illness. She was a loving mother to Vicki Frenchmeyer, Michael (Linda) and Douglas (Stephanie), and grandmother to Amy, Megan, Nicholas and Spencer. Betty was kind, unassuming, and often sarcastically funny. She loved gardening and was renowned for her amazing Christmas cookies. She grew up without a mother, the youngest of 6, and achieved the family longevity record of nearly 93 years. Her last years were compassionately taken care of by the staff at Anita's Gardens in Grafton and ultimately, additionally cared for by Compassus Hospice. We are grateful for the excellent care she received insuring her comfort until the end. The family will privately celebrate Betty's life at a later date.
