Obituary

Beverly ("Bev") Washcovick (nee Noble) passed away peacefully on September 13, 2024 at the age of 94.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years James ("Jim") Washcovick, her parents William and Ann Noble, her brother Richard Noble and her daughter-in-law Robin Washcovick.

Devoted mother of Ann (Jim) Michalski, James Washcovick, Patricia Washcovick (Del Wakley), Amy Washcovick (Al Heintz), John (Carol) Washcovick and Joseph (Julie) Washcovick. Grandmother to Luke Michalski (Derek Pleasants), Maggie Michalski, Madeline Wakley, James (Anna) Wakley, Amelia (Amy) Hatch, Benjamin Parchem, Emily Washcovick (Tony LoMenzo), Joseph (Sadie) Washcovick, Sydney (Alex) Huffhines, Macallister Washcovick (Laura Asbury) and Sophia Washcovick (Michael Novotney). Great-grandmother to David & Scout Huffhines, Adalyn & Lyle Hatch, Elouise Washcovick and August Wakley.

Bev and Jim started their family in West Allis and then moved to Wauwatosa in 1963. They joined St. Bernard's Parish and much of family life revolved around its rhythm and activities. Bev immersed herself in many volunteer duties at the church and grade school.

Her passion projects outside of St. Bernard's were the Christ Child Society and Hope Network for Single Mothers. She spent countless hours of board work & hands-on work for these wonderful organizations.

But Bev's most beloved service was done on behalf of her family. She rightfully took great pride in making an incredible home for her husband, six children and her father, Bill. It seemed to her kids that she was a master at everything she tried, and she made it all look natural & effortless.

In her second act, being "Grandma Bev" was a source of joy with endless opportunities to express her silly side. Whether it was excursions to First Stage Theater, playing cards at Fish Lake, wearing gift bows on her head at Christmastime or hosting trick-or-treat outings, Bev always made time with her grandkids special.

The constant in Bev's life was her faith. It guided her everyday decisions and supported her through countless challenges. Her rosary was always nearby, and the Virgin Mary was her go-to source of counsel and comfort.
Mom's wit, insight, and graciousness stayed with her to the end. We will miss her determination, tenacity, guidance and perspective every day.

The Washcovick family extends our appreciation to the friends she found in fellow residents and staff at Harwood Place in Wauwatosa during her final years.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a future date.

If desired, donations are appreciated in Bev's name to the Local Milwaukee Chapter of Christ Child Society or Hope Network for Single Mothers.
