Obituary

Blake Transue, age 55, lost his long battle with cancer April 1st, 2016.  Blake was born August 10th, 1960 in Albion, MI to the late Harley and Connie Transue.  He and Brenda Boyer were married November 18, 1988.    Blake was a long time resident of Whitewater.  He enjoyed country living, raising animals, fixing and racing cars, fishing, and spending time with friends and family.  He worked at Alpha Cast in Whitewater before becoming a self-employed home remodeler.  He was also a member of the Lions Club in Whitewater.    He will be missed by his children:  Amy Jones of Jefferson, Aryn Transue of Janesville, and Alex Transue of Whitewater; his grandchildren:  Emma, Buckley, and Amaryana; and his siblings:  Butch (Diane) Transue of Stoughton, Sharon (Said) Abdel-Khalik of Atlanta, GA, Scott (Becky) Transue of Deerfield, and Kent (Tracy) Transue of Stoughton.  Further survived by nieces and nephews, special friend Linda Jones, and other relatives and friends.    Though he was not open with his relationship with the Lord, he maintained a quiet yet subtle relationship with Jesus Christ and used his morals to teach and raise his children to the best of his ability.  The unconditional love he shared with the blind and deaf exercised through the Lion's Club was unprecedented.  Being a giver was his first language, giving everything he had all the time, regardless of his financial status.  This has inspired his son to devote his life to giving and serving those who need it.    The family would like to thank the staff of Alden Rehabilitation Center in Jefferson and the Rainbow Hospice Center in Johnson Creek for the wonderful care and comfort they provided Blake.  Also, Billy Streib for the care he provided.    A celebration of Blake's life will be held on Saturday, April 16th from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Fort Atkinson American Legion located at 201 S. Water St. E Fort Atkinson, WI 53538.    Donations in Blake's name can be made to the Rainbow Hospice Center, 1225 Remmel Dr. Johnson Creek, WI 53094 (www.rainbowhospicecare.org)    "You will always be my Mr. Bojangles and I will always be your brown-eyed girl."
