Obituary

Rahn, Carl V, 64, passed away peacefully at his home in Waukesha on September 19, 2014. He was born May 28, 1950 in Fort Atkinson, WI, as the third child of Vernon and Marjorie (Brown) Rahn. He graduated from Fort Atkinson Senior High School in May, 1968. Carl graduated from UW-Whitewater in May of 1973 with a BS in chemistry and biology. He went on to Madison General School of Nursing from which he graduated with his RN. Carl was a dedicated nurse for almost 30 years, specializing in the cardiac cath and EP labs and enjoyed hobbies such as photography and bird watching. An avid Packer fan, he was noted for insisting on watching the Packers even when he was receiving treatment in the ER. Survivors include his wife, Camilla, his sisters; Angeline (James) Buchholtz and Ione (Kenneth) Schopen, and his three adult children; Micah (Amy ) Rahn, Jordan Rahn, and Bethany Rahn with Laura Hatfield. His grandson, Jack Porter Rahn, was the light of his life. Also survived by three nieces; Lisa (Craig) Heitke, Rita Schopen, and Renee (Dan) Hibbard, two nephews; Darren (Sheila) Buchholtz, and Brent (Heather) Buchholtz, and many friends. Camilla would like to thank the Aurora staff, including the VNA, Dr. Rubina Qamar and her staff, Dr. Raymond Ballacer, and Dr. Mark Waples for making it possible for Carl to have this last year. She especially would like to thank her parents, Jim and Carole Retert for their love, help, and care during Carl's illness. She loves you very much. Visitation 9-11 A.M.
