Chelsea Marie Kovacich, 33, of Sauk City, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on October 4, 2022. Chelsea was an incredible daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, fiancé and friend. She will be fiercely missed and the memories of her will always be treasured.

Chelsea was born on April 2, 1989, to Jeffrey Kovacich and Susan Daniels (Groh) in Waukesha, WI. Chelsea graduated from Burlington High School in 2007 and received a degree in Biotechnologies from Madison Area Technical College. After graduation, Chelsea worked in the Biotechnology industry for over 10 years, and was truly passionate about the nature of her work.

In 2019, Chelsea met the love of her life, Jacob Hoon, and were recently engaged. She was excited and happy to be planning their wedding and bright future together.

She is survived by her parents Susan Daniels, Jeffrey Kovacich (Denise Wendlick), sister Brittany Gaona (Michael Gaona), fiancé Jake Hoon, grandmothers Clare Kovacich, Judy Groh, her nephew Kellen Gaona and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Chelsea was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Martin Kovacich and Jerome Groh.

Chelsea was known to show more than the typical level of kindness. She cared deeply for her family and her profession. Her personality grabbed your attention but her heart made you stay. She found joy in the pages of her books, making crafts and the friendships she made along the way. She really was a force of pure goodness that our world is now dark without. We will miss her generous and courageous approach to life.

A celebration of life will be held in Chelsea's honor. We invite all those whose hearts have been touched by Chelsea to join us Sunday, October 23, 2022 from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the Waunakee Public Library, 201 N Madison Street, Waunakee, WI 53597

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to benefit the Madison College.
