Cheryl Ann Budgins (nee Foster), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 79 on August 10th at her home, surrounded by the love of her family and the memories of a life beautifully lived.

Cheryl will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, generosity, and the love she so freely gave to those around her. She had a special way of making the people she loved feel cared for. To her husband, Robert, she was affectionately known as his “Sugar Bear”—a loving nickname that reflected the special bond they shared.

Cheryl found joy in the simple and beautiful things in life. She loved flowers and animals, especially dogs and dolphins, and spending time at the beach in Florida. She was a gifted painter and talented crafter. She loved creating beautiful things with her hands, especially when those creations could be given to someone she loved. Her creativity was one of the many ways she expressed her love for others.

Although her passing leaves an emptiness in the hearts of those who love her, there is comfort in knowing she is finally at peace and no longer suffering. Her family will cherish the love she gave, the traditions she created, and the countless memories she leaves behind.

Cheryl will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Robert Budgins; her children, Jacqui Corso (John Kames), Ann Franz (Mike), and Michael Budgins (Tammy); her grandchildren, Kayla and Ryan Budgins; her sister, Diane Foster; and her brother, Dale Foster (Barbara), along with her extended family and many dear friends whose lives she touched.

Her memory will live on through the stories we share, the things she created, the traditions we carry forward, and, most importantly, through the love she gave to her family. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Service Information

A visitation and service honoring Cheryl Ann Budgins will be held on Tuesday, September 1 at Hartson Funeral Home in Hales Corners, Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a service to follow at 5:00 p.m.

A separate Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 18 at the Muskego Moose Lodge in Muskego, Wisconsin. Additional details will be shared in the coming weeks.

Rather than focusing on goodbye, her family hopes these gatherings will be a time to come together, share memories, and celebrate the love, laughter, and joy Cheryl brought into our lives.
