Cheryl Ann Legler (née Pehowski) of West Allis, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on February 11, 2026, at the age of 64.
Born on July 4, 1961, to Thomas and Annette (Vroman) Pehowski, Cheryl brought warmth, strength, and unmistakable spirit into the lives of all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Annette and her baby sister, Colleen. Cheryl is survived by her loving father, Thomas; her sister, Carrie Kanngieser and her husand Al; her brother, Scott Pehowski and his wife; two devoted children, Alex Legler and Amanda Legler; and her four cherished grandchildren, Skyyah, Alayna, Elliana and Calen; also many nieces and nephews. Long time friend Sandra held a special place in her life and final days.
Cheryl had a vibrant, unforgettable personality. She constantly made friends with anyone willing to entertain a conversation, once a friend always a friend to her. Her grandchildren were the absolute joy of her life. Known affectionately as “Maga,” she never hesitated to say yes to them — no request was ever too big or small when it came to her precious grandbabies.
A proud “daddy’s girl,” Cheryl treasured her time spent up north with her father — fishing, cooking his favorite meals, and watching the games. She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures and created countless memories through her love of bowling, bartending, gambling, and being an enthusiastic fan of the Green Bay Packers.
Cheryl’s sudden passing leaves a void in the hearts of her family and friends. While she will be missed beyond measure, there is comfort in knowing she has been reunited with the loved ones she has missed deeply.
Her spirit, laughter, and boundless love will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know her.
