Christopher Herda, 42, of Muskego, passed away at his home on Tuesday May 1, 2018. A life-long resident of Muskego, he was born on December 1st, 1975. Although faced with many challenges in life, Chris never let that get in his way. In his childhood, Chris battled and beat Leukemia. He designed the very first MACC Star, which was sold to help raise money to battle childhood cancer. In his senior year of high school, Chris was involved in a serious car accident which left him with debilitating injuries. Yet, he lived life with a positive attitude and was a friend to all those he met. Chris loved games, outdoor activities and watching a good movie. He truly lived life in the present.Chris was preceded in death by his father Kenneth and is survived by his mother Gail (Pape) Herda, brother Shaun, his sister-in-law Carolyn, and his three nephews. Also survived by loving family members and friends.The family wishes to acknowledge John and Debbie Marefke for all their love and support during their time with Chris.Visitation will be held Saturday May 12th from 9-11 am at Hartson Funeral Home, followed by a celebration of his life and spirit. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, ACAP (Adaptive Community Approach Program) or the Neuroscience Research Center at Froedert Hospital.
