Clarence "Jack" Steffen Jr.Age 73, lost his 25-year battle with cancer on All Souls' Day, November 2nd, 2015 surrounded by his beloved wife and daughter. Jack was born on April 7, 1942 in Milwaukee, WI to Clarence Sr and Marie Steffen. He was united in marriage to Sue Steffen on August 19, 1967.Jack was a calming presence in the lives of his family, friends and strangers and could always be seen with a smile on his face. He loved to take long walks with his wife and dogs, visit his daughter and family in Minneapolis and exercise his brain on crossword puzzles. Jack was a frequent traveler enjoying cruises, visiting Door County for Swedish pancakes and playing keno in Las Vegas. He especially liked to make others laugh with a long repertoire of jokes...and, even the second and third time told, was still funny. He worked for 35 years helping others as a psychiatric social worker for Milwaukee County. He truly thought of his co-workers as extended family. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Sue; his loving daughter Michelle Steffen (Jake) of Minneapolis; his cherished grandchildren Xavier and Linden; siblings Judith "Tutz" and Jim; his niece Babette, nephew Michael and great nephew James. Visitation Friday, November 6th, 2 – 3:45 pm at St. Mary Catholic Faith Community, 9520 W Forest Home Ave, Hales Corners. Mass of Christian Burial at 4 pm.
