Obituary

Craig Richard Haubert, aged 54, passed away on August 18, 2024, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Born on August 11, 1970, in Tomahawk, WI, he spent his early years in Prentice where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and driving fast and free down gravel roads. His love for the outdoors and an adrenaline rush led him to a passion for skiing and snowboarding, a skill he later taught all his children. Craig's youth was marked by a delightful sense of humor and a precocious nature that endeared him to all, especially his beloved grandmothers.

After graduating from Prentice High School in 1988, he attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering and earned a degree from Milwaukee Area Technical College.

Craig's exceptional mathematical skills contributed to his successful career in Electrical Design, Automation and Controls Engineering. His professional journey was distinguished by his role as a Senior Automation Controls Engineer at Milwaukee Tool, where he worked to bring classic cartoon technologies to modern reality. His career also included significant positions at Mauser Packaging Solutions, R+D Custom Automation, Alaark Tooling & Automation, B&W Megtec and Kohler Power Systems, where he made substantial contributions to the field of Electrical Engineering.

He enjoyed traveling, live music, food, the Green Bay Packers and his faithful dog, Kyle. Craig cherished time spent golfing and attending his sons' concerts and band performances. He had a lively sense of humor and a boisterous personality with an infectious laugh. He was a loyal and supportive friend and cared deeply for his family. Craig will be greatly missed and forever remembered by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Craig is survived by his partner of 22 years, Melissa A. Ninham; sons, Cheveyo and Chayton; daughter, Skylar (Aaron) Turek; grandchildren, Lewis and Isabel Turek; parents, Margaret (Peg Wilund) Haubert and Terry (Pat) Haubert; nephews, Jaegar (Shelby) and Sawyer Haubert; along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Cary Wayne and Marty Lee Haubert, and his grandparents, Joe and Delores Haubert, Jean Lile and Gordon Wilund.

A private ceremony was held on August 22, at Hartson Funeral Home in Hales Corners. A graveside ceremony will follow on August 28, at noon at Prentice Cemetery, conducted by Pastor Jordan Scott of New Beginnings Lutheran Church. Hartson Funeral Home and Heindl Funeral Home are assisting the family with arrangements.
