With great sadness, the family of Curtis Lenwood Wilke II announces his passing on October 7, 2017, aged 68. Curtis, known as "Skip", was a native of Milwaukee, WI. Skip attended Pulaski High School, after which he began work at Allis Chalmers as a machinist.Through his years of service, Skip climbed the ladder to foreman, eventually rising to Director of Health and Safety after a company wide buyout to Siemens Automation. Many years later, and after many talks with his wife, Skip elected to move to Environmental Audits as a consultant for factories, making important decisions regarding the safety and well being of the workforce as well as surrounding communities. He ended his career with Twin Disc of Racine.As a life long music fan, Curtis was a member of the One 2 Many Band as a harmonica player, percussionist, and back up vocalist. He loved his Harley motorcycle, fishing, his dogs, his family, and his friends. For over 50 years, he even maintained a close relationship with his high school pals. Always ready with a joke, hilarious story, or witty reply, Skip was unmatched in his love as a friend, brother, husband, and father.He was proceeded in death by his cherished son and namesake, Curtis Lenwood Wilke III, as well as parents Curtis and Evelyn. Skip will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years, Barbara (nee Nemo), as well as his daughter Kathryn Swinney (nee Wilke), her husband Colin, and his three sisters, Lynne O'Connell (Charlie), Lana Wilke, and Lavonne White (Ray). This love extends to sister-in-law, Nancy Lisiecki (John, deceased), cousins, nephews, nieces, grand nieces, and grand nephews. He was one of kind, and we will all miss him dearly.Visitation will be Friday, October 13, 2017 from 10:00am - 12:00pm at Hales Corners Lutheran Church, 12300 W Janesville Rd, Hales Corners, WI 53130. Memorial service to follow at noon. If desired, memorials to Hales Corners Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
