It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Darla Gutierrez, who left us on May 20, 2024, at the age of 58, surrounded by family after a sudden and brave battle with lung cancer.

Darla was a Milwaukee native, born on July 11, 1965. She had a passion for television soap operas, often losing herself in the dramatic twists and turns of her favorite shows. Later in life, she found joy in caring for others. She cherished play fighting with her grandchildren, whose laughter filled the house. Even through her own struggles, Darla always managed to smile.

She is survived by three of her four children, Liz, Kim, and Jess; her mother, Darlene; and her siblings, Monty (Ginny), Mike, Joey, Chris and Patty.

Darla's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her grandchildren, Desaray, Maurice, Jaden, Nathen, Adrian, Nadia, Noah, Hana, Royal and Jaire, and her great-granddaughter, Leila. She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Darla is preceded in death by her son, Nick, whose memory she cherished deeply. Though she has left us too soon, her spirit and legacy will endure in the hearts of those who loved her.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate Darla's life at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 1st at Hartson Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m.
