David Gering

August 7, 1952 to January 18, 2022

David was a graduate of Boys Tech in Milwaukee. After graduation, he enlisted in the Air Force where he served as a plane technician. He then entered into the medical services field working for Xerox for the rest of his career.

David enjoyed watching and playing baseball and basketball. His favorite teams were the Brewers and the Bucks'. He also coached middle school and high school basketball and baseball. He enjoyed working on cars. He was always physically active and liked to run, bike, swim, and fish.

He was called home to Heaven by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday January 18, 2022 at the age of 69, after many years battling Huntington's Disease. He is survived by three daughters, Larissa, Breanna, and Brittany, a granddaughter Eva, and many other family members.

Visitation with military honors will be held at Hartson Funeral Home located at 11111 West Janesville Rd in Hales Corners, WI 53130 on Wednesday, January 26th from 3pm to 4pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Huntington's Disease, University of Iowa Paulsen Research Lab. Donations can also be made to the Center for Veterans-Veterans Transitional Housing in Milwaukee or the Milwaukee Rescue Mission.
