Diane Marie Donaldson passed away at home on January 2nd, 2018, just two days shy of her 69th year on earth. To the very end Diane exuded the most loving spirit and sense of humor that drew friends, family and neighbors to her. Diane was born on January 4th, 1949 to Donald and Marie (Bosser) Gorectke in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She came of age in a large family during the sixties and would often reflect on her childhood adventures with her brothers and sisters who were friends into adulthood. A fun loving selfless women who overflowed with kindness and love. Diane valued above everything the company and companionship of family and friends. Diane, lived up to the meanings of her name including divine, God, and swiftness. Divine in her beauty, the way she made you feel like you were the most important person in the room, her love for God and her ability to make people happy just to be in her presence. Godly in her devote commitment to the Lord and daily prayers for all she knew. Swiftness in her shrewd card playing, often conquering those who chose to challenge her in games of Cribbage, Royal Rummy and Communist Bridge. Up until her untimely passing, she was young at heart, a welcomed participant in social gatherings and by far the best hugger her family and friends had ever crossed.Diane's absence will be felt deeply by the family and friends that enjoyed the pleasure of her company. Most especially, she is mourned by her daughters and spouses, Shelia (Paul) Bertolas, Sherry Eichhorn, Doreen Donaldson, Danielle (Nicholas) Hanson. Beloved grand children and spouses, Sarah (Dylan) Shingledecker, Zach Eichhorn, Shane Olson, Miranda Olson, Gary Jr. Washburn, Ellie Washburn, Cole Hanson and Brooke Hanson. She was also a loving sister and is further survived by Dennis (Sandy) Gorectke, Craig (Jill) Gorectke, Beth Bowerman, Donald (Marijeanne) Gorectke, and Robert (Jean) Gorectke.A memorial gathering will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, January 14th, 2018 from 2-3:30 PM and service 3:30-5 PM.
