Dianne Morgano 1943 – 2017 was born September 15, 1943, in Dubuque, Iowa and passed away peacefully in her home in Milwaukee, WI on December 13, 2017. She was the first of two children of Grace (Morgan) and Tom Bogue. She met her beloved husband John Morgano in Kindergarten in 1948. She graduated with honors from Savanna High in 1961 as a member of the National Honor Society and later joined the MENSA organization. She earned her cosmetology license and then attended Illinois State University. Dianne and John were married in August 1964 and remained together for the next 53 years. Dianne lived in Savanna Illinois until October 1966, when she moved to Milwaukee, WI with John and their children. As a young girl, she adored her family dog Butchie and continued loving animals through her entire life. She treated her pets as family members and decorated her home with figurines, clocks and pictures of pets. She contributed to the lives of hundreds of children in the community through her 30 years of service as a teaching assistant for four different elementary schools from 1974 through 2003. Dianne used her self-taught computer skills to start, and then manage, the elementary school technology lab where she was a teaching assistant. Dianne was a compassionate, caring mother of three and grandmother of eight, who cared for eight pets in her journey through life. She enjoyed playing piano, Sudoku, cross-word puzzles and anything that stimulated her mind. As a young mother, her hobbies included making her children's clothes, Halloween costumes, custom birthday cakes and was involved in Scouting. As a grandmother, she enjoyed traditions such as taking the grandkids to "Disney On Ice", "The Nutcracker", hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve dinners, giving Christmas gifts, especially custom ornaments and brain teasers. Dianne is survived by her husband John Morgano, sons John Morgano Jr. and Scott Morgano, and daughter Cissy Buchta; grandchildren Jessica Marchant, Michael Morgano, Brandon Buchta, Kaiti Buchta, Dylan Buchta, Riley Morgano, Sierra Morgano, and Matteo Morgano. Also surviving Dianne are daughters-in-law Sue Morgano and Sharon Morgano and son-in-law Tom Buchta, sisters-in-law Marlene Morgano and Nancy Morgano and brothers-in-law Charles Morgano and Dan Hayes and other family members which include grandson-in-law Nick Marchant, 10 nieces and nephews and pets Leo and Midnight.Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, Grace and Tom Bogue, her sister Carol Hayes, her Aunt Gladys James and Uncle Pete James, and her pets Butchie, Shannon, Meece, Stealy, Bo, and Bubbles.There is no visitation. Services will be private. Memorials may be made to the Milwaukee Humane Society.
