Barrows, Donald R., (Maj. Retired) age 78, was born to eternal life March 27, 2013. Loving husband of 51 years Mary Ann (nee Neacy), dear father of Karen (John) Dickerson, proud grandfather of Andrew Robert and Kate Huimin Dickerson and further survived by extended family and friends in Scranton, PA. Visitation will be 9-11 A.M. Friday, April 5, 2013 at Whitnall Park Lutheran Church, 5847 Lilac Lane, Hales Corners. Funeral service at 11 A.M. Interment to follow in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove. Donald attended Scranton, PA. schools and joined the Navy during the Korean War. He returned to attend the University of Scranton from which he graduated in 1958 with degrees in business law and accounting. He enlisted in the Army and during his service in Germany met his wife, Mary Ann. They married in September of 1961. He served in Vietnam from May 1966 to May 1967. Donald retired from the U.S. Army in March 1977 and was a resident of Franklin for many years.
