Doris Marie Thrasher

At the age of 73, passed away after a short battle with cancer, in the early morning hours of Sunday, September 20th, 2026, she was surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on February 15th, 1953 in Milwaukee Wisconsin, as the second daughter to William and Anna (Bintz) Watson.

Doris dedicated herself to being a personal banker for 30 years, most notably for State Financial Bank.

Doris spent her years after banking, watching her grandchildren and working for the Milwaukee County election committee.

Doris liked to spend her free time cooking meals for herself and family, working on her many sewing projects, baking desserts and in her later years, going out thrifting. She was an avid enjoyer of music, with an impressive record collection, featuring her favorite artists like Neil Diamond and Cher.

Doris always adored and took care of her family. She is survived by her daughter, Dominique (Rob) McLure; her two grandchildren, Nicholas (Cathleen) Brown and Suzanna McLure; her nieces and nephews, Michael-Ann “Mickey” (Dave) Klein, Shawn (Rachel) Matis, William F. Bischoff IV and Kira (Dave) Buss; and her long time sweetheart, Mark Balisterri.

She is reunited in heaven with her Mom and Dad, William and Anna Watson, and her older sister, Nedra (William) Bishoff.

Doris will always be remembered for her love of her family and friends, her admiration for animals of all kinds, and her dedication to everything she would do.

Her memory will be celebrated through her many sewing projects, the laughter she would share every day, and the lives she touched through her empathy and love. She will be deeply missed.

Her visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th, 2026, at Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 W Janesville Rd, Hales Corners, WI, from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM, with services to follow.
