Westrick, Dorothy J. (nee Nowak) age 79, died peacefully on August 13th, 2013 in her home at St. Anne's Providence Court, of complications from her 30 year struggle with MS. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Gordon, son James and her parents, Robert and Aloma Nowak. She is survived by her children, Christopher (Linda), Julia (Brad), and Steven (Cheryl), and her grandchildren Joseph, Rachel, Kaitlin, Courtney, Cassandra, Jordan and Jonathan. She is also survived by her cherished sister Joanne (Bill) Gerke of Grand Rapids, MI, sisters in-law Phyllis Kramp and Betty Trumble, "forever friend" Lois Gerard, "adopted son" Daryl Schmidt, as well as the entire St. Al's gang from Grand Rapids, all friends for over 60 years. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and other close friends. Dorothy was an incredibly strong woman, determined to remain as independent as possible until her last day. She did it her way. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 17th from 12-2 P.M. at the funeral home with services at 2 P.M.
