Duane Scott Loomis, 61, of Caledonia, passed away on July 8, 2025.
Duane was born on March 19, 1964, in Kankakee, Illinois, to Kenneth Loomis and Cora Mosbey (née Scherer). He grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and graduated from Madison High School and Carroll College.
Duane dedicated 40 years to his career at UPS, first as a Package Unloader, then Delivery Driver and a Feeder City Truck Driver, where he earned the respect of his coworkers and the admiration of all who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Alexander Loomis and Chloe Loomis; his siblings, Vern Hoffeditz, Keith Hoffeditz, Linda (Tammy) Hoffeditz, Norm (Karla) Hoffeditz, Jayson (Mary) Loomis, Kirk Loomis, Bernie (Terre) Hoffeditz, Diana Hoffeditz, Chuck Hoffeditz; several aunts, uncles and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Galen Hoffeditz and sister, Brenda Hoffeditz.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Wisconsin Humane Society – Racine Campus in Duane's memory.
Duane will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his love of cooking, hunting, fishing, the Minnesota Vikings, country music and his cherished dogs.
