Obituary

Elwood "Reilly" L. PotterDied peacefully on April 18th, 2015 at the age of 95.  He was born in Bay City, Michigan on April 30th, 1919.  While living in Michigan he met his wife of 70 years, Mary Belle Glockner.  He served in the Army Air Corp as a radio operator on B-17s in the Pacific Theater during World War II.  He was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant.  He went on to study and graduate from the University of Wisconsin with the help of the GI Bill.  He worked at Bucyrus-Erie for 29 years retiring in 1984 as Director of Purchasing.  He was a member of the German Shepherd Club of Wisconsin for 25 years.  He developed a passion and skill for crossword puzzles and other word games, which he worked on right up to his death.  He is survived by his wife, Mary Belle Potter of Hales Corners, his daughter Lisa Grove and his son-in-law Jerry Grove of Seaside, Oregon, daughter Kathryn Andino-Fernandez and son-in-law Rafael Fernandez of New York, his two granddaughters Carmen and Isabel and his great-grandson, Thomas John.  There will be no service.  Any memorials in Elwood Potter's name can be made to the Wisconsin Humane Society.
