Obituary

Emzy Sullivan Smith as born to the union of the late Sullivan Emzy Smith, of the Ofahoma MS community and Louise Gee, of the Conway MS community, on September 28, 1937. He was one of 10 children and the first born son. He was united in holy matrimony with Elaine Long of Milwaukee,WI in Milwaukee, WI where he lived and worked for 50 years. Emzy graduated from O.E. Jordan High School in 1959 and served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1963. He was a dedicated husband and Father to his Stepdaughter, Carol Della Rose Sample, of Milwaukee. He departed this earthly life at the Clement J. Zablocki Veterans Hospital in Milwaukee after an extened illness at 1:00 p.m. on October 22, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Elaine, Stepdaughter, Della Rose and 4 grandchildren, all of Milwaukee, three brothers, Thomas M. Smith of Milwaukee, John Russel and Williford Smith, both of Carthage, Miss; two sisters, Carolyn Strete and Marilyn Wilkerson, both of Texas and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
