Eric Christopher Neu discovered Eternal Rest for his gentle soul May 23, 2018. Preceded in death by Grandpa and Grandma Neu and Grandpa and Grandma Dooley. He is survived by his parents Paul and Mary Beth, his son Bryce (Brizayda, Sondra, Fe, CoCo), his brothers Jason (Jodi), Tim and Billy, and his nieces and nephews: Amanda, Jake, Braeden, Anika and Evan. Eric leaves behind countless cousins, aunts, uncles and a massive following of good friends and supporters. He loved his family, looking forward to all gatherings and reunions. Eric was widely known for his ability to bond with anyone he met. With a heart of gold, he yielded a unique ability to show kindness and was a pleasure to be in the company of. Through his own challenges, he helped more people than can be known. Eric served a greater purpose in life. With his ability to make friends, he touched the lives of others. Some of his experiences, uncommon to many, allowed him to share and teach others. His proudest moments can be noted as those where he lent a helping hand, be it hard labor, help with addiction or lending an ear to listen. This is how he can be best remembered. An adventurer, his unprecedented passion for and adaptation to nature was one of a kind. Eric always knew where to cast and could stalk a big buck or catch a snake with ease. Treasured was the time "up north" at the Red House hunting, fishing and catching critters. His love for the outdoors was his savior. To curb life's struggles he relied on what he coined, "fish therapy". Eric has eternally gone fishing.Join family and friends for a memorial gathering at Hartson Funeral Home on Saturday June 16th from 10am to noon with a service following. Additionally, friends and family are invited to Paul and Mary Beth's home (Eric's secret fishing hole) for a gathering and remembrance of Eric following the service (3 - 6pm).
