Eugene Dale Heimerl, age 85 of Hales Corners, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born August 9, 1937 in Rockland, Wisconsin the son of Viola (Lulloff) and Albert Heimerl.

Eugene graduated from West Division High School in 1955. He married Marjorie Hilda Nace at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in 1956, together they raised their three sons. Eugene retired in 1991, he was an over the road truck driver for Sears and then Signal Delivery. He was an avid reader, enjoyed hunting and sailing the "Dutch Treat." But he truly loved spending time and playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Eugene is survived by his wife of 67 years, Margie, three sons, Dale, Gary (Sue), Mark (Kathy); grandchildren: Michelle (Jeff), Eric, Steve (Emma), Matt (Becky), Greg (Shannon), Dan; five great-grandchildren: Scarlet, Willow, Rowen, Abbie and Everly, and brothers-in-law, John (Kathy), Roger (Linda) and Bob.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Judy and infant sister Joyce.

A memorial service for Eugene will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 W. Janesville Road, Hales Corners, WI 53130 with Pastor Fred Thomas-Breitfeld officiating. Family and friends may gather for a visitation from 11:00 – 12:45 pm at the funeral home.

Inurnment will be private at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
