Hildebrand, Eugene M., of Glendale, died March 26, 2014 at the age of 85. He is survived by his son John M. Hildebrand, Sr.,, daughters; Mary-Jo (Robert) Lamalfa and Ann-Marie (Steve) Willborn, grandson, John Hildebrand, Jr., granddaughter, Megan Marie Willborn, and great-granddaughters; Scarlett, Shane, and Sydney Hildebrand. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne (nee Wolf), in 2010. Eugene was a veteran of the Korean War serving as First Sergeant of a Combat Engineering Company in Korea. Eugene retired after 37 years from Pabst Brewing Company. He served for many years as shop steward for Local 9 UAW and was a member of the Union Executive Board for several terms. His strong belief in promoting the advancement of civil rights led him to join the great March on Washington led by Rev. Martin Luther King. Eugene was a member of the ACLU and was proud to have been a life long liberal. Private remembrances will be held.
