Mayer, Eugene C. Of Hales Corners. Born to Eternal Life June 16, 2011, at the age of 91 years. Preceded in death by wife Elaine, son Mark and grandson Jacob Knapp. Loving father of Jerome (Peggy) Mayer, William Mayer, Mary Jo (John) Knapp, Jeannie (Wayne) Robinson, Daniel Mayer, and Jeffrey (Carol) Mayer. Proud grandfather of Chad, Todd, Marc, Heidi Mayer, Rebecca (Mike) Warren, Joshua Knapp, and Tara Robinson. Dear brother of Jewel (Curt) Clemetson. Further survived by relatives and friends. Gene was a Staff Sergeant in WWII serving in New Guinea and the Philippines in General MacArthur's headquarters and followed MacArthur to Japan for the occupation. Gene worked for E.R. Squibb & Sons (Bristol-Myers Squibb) for 35 years as a salesman. He loved to sell! He devoted his life to Elaine, who was the center of his life along with his children and grandchildren. He loved to fish in northern Wisconsin and Canada with friends, his children and grandchildren.
