Eva M. HertelPassed in peace at home August 4, 2015 shortly before her 92nd birthday.  Loving mother of Stella (Peter) Kovacich and Patricia (Richard) Atwood, proud grandmother of Jasmine and Demeatrius, great-grandmother of Alana, and further survived by extended family and friends.  Preceded in death by her parents, Giuseppe and Mary (Janusz) Verga and a sister, Natalie Fritz.  Eva was born and grew up in Chicago, raised her family in Watertown, and later moved to Madison, where she retired from WPS in 1995.   She loved being a mother and grandmother and received great joy from her great-granddaughter.  She also passed on her love for music to her family.  Visitation at Midvale Baptist Church, 821 S. Midvale Blvd., Madison from 12- 1 P.M. Saturday, August 8.  Funeral service 1 P.M.  Interment in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Monona.
