Obituary

Eva W. MayerBorn Dec. 18th, 1915 to Otto and Bertha (nee Ruehle) Wollman at their home in Tess Corners.  She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Church, in Tess Corners.  She attended the first Sunday School that started at St. Paul's Church by Rev. Tacke.  Edna Baas was her teacher.  She attended Young Peoples, choir, Married Peoples and Ladies Aid where she was the President and Secretary for several terms each.  She was a Sunday School teacher for 6 years and worked in the Sunday School office for seven years.  She married August Mayer on June 18, 1938.  They were blessed with three children, James, Suzanne, and August.  She was preceded in death by her husband after 51 ½ years of marriage, two brothers Walter and Robert, four sisters Hazel Runkel, Leona Jacobson, and infant twins Ruby and Ruth.  She is survived by son James (Judith) of Waukesha, daughter Suzanne (Richard) Giese, Sr. of Big Bend, son  August (Leanora) of Blue Ridge, GA.  She is further survived by 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.  Eva loved sports, especially the Packers, Brewers, Bucks and the Badgers.  She liked to play Sheepshead with her daughter every Wednesday at Golden Agers at the Schutze Building in Waukesha.  She enjoyed her monthly visit with Pastor Meyer and recently with Pastor Kuehl.  Her memory verse was Rev. 2:10: "Be thou faithful until death and I will give you a crown of life."
