Obituary

Florence entered into eternal life on July 21,2026.

Born to Gertrude (nee Glavin) and Howard Oppmann on July 15, 1931, in Milwaukee, WI. She was the eldest of five children. She graduated from Rufus King High School, class of 1949.

Florence married Daniel Leintz on September 27, 1951. Florence worked as a secretary at Ampco Metal until she started her family. Together Florence and Dan raised three daughters, Linda (Robert) Trinastic, Pauline Leintz (Allen Gardner) and Barbara (Michael) Leising.

Once the girls were older, Florence returned to work as a sales clerk at Gimbels and then The Boston Store until she retired. Florence was an avid walker and then discovered her true love, golf. Over the years she could be found on the golf course five or six days per week. She was known by her friends as “Two Putt Flo”.

Florence also loved to play cards with her friends, and was a die-hard fan of the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers and the Milwaukee Brewers. Florence was an excellent seamstress and will be long remembered through the numerous quilts she made and gifted to family, disabled veterans and neonatal infants.

Florence lived independently and drove her car until her last day on earth. She had a good life and was blessed to die peacefully.

Florence is further survived by her grandchildren, Stacy Trinastic (Warren Heir), Ryan Trinastic (Leslee), Neil Leising and Scott Leising. She was great-grandmother or “GG” to Max and Henry Heir, Aeris Pope, Autumn Trinastic and Ellie and Sloane Leising.

Florence will be laid to rest at Wood National Cemetery next to her late husband, Daniel.
