Francis JENNIK, (Dziennik), Colonel U.S. Army - Born May 18, 1924, born to eternal life September 19, 2024.
Preceded in death by his devoted wife of 68 years, Rosemary (Stefaniak). Survived by his children: Janice (Bart) Grigg, Susan, Peter (Joy), Julie (Andrew) Oren, Cynthia Teigen, Gregory (Kay McCaffery), Jerelyn (Greg) Lewandowski, Robert, Mary (David) Scherer and Joseph (Donna Allen); 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Ann Stefaniak, Mary Stefaniak, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Frank was an honorable man who continually sacrificed for his family and country. He always put his family first. He lived a life of faith with a servant's heart. His legacy will continue through his family and the many lives he touched.
He was a graduate of South Division High School, Marquette University and U.S. Army Command and General Staff College. He served in WWII with the 66th Infantry Division, graduated OCS in 1944 and was a Transportation Officer in the Philippines and Tokyo, Japan. He was an instructor with the U.S. Army Reserves until 1977 when he retired with the rank of Colonel.
Frank was a sales representative for various companies and retired as an assessor with the City of Milwaukee. He was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, a life member of the Greendale American Legion Post 416, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Army Reserve Officers Association.
Preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Casmiera Dziennik, siblings Ted (Gerry) Dennik, Ed (Mary Ellen) Jennik, Alice (John) Stout, Daniel Dennik, Richard (Beth) Dennik, Rosemary (Burt) Goff; in-laws Dorothy (Charlie) Brede, Paul Stefaniak, Joseph (Lil) Stefaniak, Al (Monica) Stefaniak, Norb (Betty) Stefaniak, Rev. James Stefaniak, Betty (Jerry) Demeter and Gene Stefaniak.

Visitation will be on October 4, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. followed by mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 3722 S. 58th Street, Milwaukee, WI.
Celebration of Life following mass at Meyer's Restaurant, 4260 S. 76th St., Greenfield, WI.
