Of Greendale, passed on to Eternal Life on May 4th, 2017 at the age of 89. Son of Elmer and Magdalyn (Kojis) Bennett. Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Weldy) for 68 years. Loving father of Cynthia (Robert) Mueller, Christine Bennett, Jack (Debbie) Bennett, and the late Terrance Patrick. Survived by 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Brother of James (Arlene) Bennett, Irene (Frank) Piccione, George (Vivian) Bennett, and the late Joseph Bennett. Brother-in-law to Carole (Diane) Logan. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Fred grew up in the Merrill Park neighborhood and attended Marquette University. He was an avid golfer and longtime member of the Rivermoor Country Club. Along with his brother James, Fred started the Uni-Pump Company, specializing in design and manufacture of fueling systems for the oil, service station, trucking, and automotive industries. Fred was a pioneer in bringing self-service fueling to Wisconsin. A visitation will be held on Wednesday May 10th at Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 W. Janesville Rd. Hales Corners 53130 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m.
