Fredrick Macher, age 76
Fredrick Macher, passed away peacefully, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Fredrick, affectionately known as Rick to his family and Fred to his friends and coworkers, was a beloved figure and a cherished soul who brightened the lives of everyone he met.
Fredrick was born in Joliet, IL, and raised in Wind Lake, WI, where he spent most of his life. He is survived by his sister, Linda Hansen, his nieces Lisa (Kevin) Frasier and Kathy (Leo) Grohall, as well as his great-nephews: Steven (Jessica) Fluegge, Devon Grohall, Nathan (Kendra) Frasier and Trevor Grohall. Fredrick was also a beloved great-great uncle to Arden Grohall, Olivia Fluegge and Brayden Fluegge, and an honorary uncle to Alex Loomis and Renee Grohall, and many other family and friends.
Fredrick's memory will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him. He was a man of great integrity who took immense pride in his work and always made time for family and friends. He loved spending his weekends with family, watching movies, playing bingo and cheering on the Packers.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Brighton Hospice and the dedicated staff at Southpointe Healthcare Center for their compassionate care during his final journey.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wisconsin Humane Society or your favorite animal shelter would be deeply appreciated.
