Gail Anne Dittmer (Gehrmann) peacefully passed away on April 3, 2025. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother (GG), sister, aunt and friend.
She had an immense sense of selflessness. She demonstrated this through the great concern and care she showed, always providing unconditional love and deeply expressing gratitude towards others. As she grew older, she became the "purple lady." Ninety percent of her wardrobe was purple including boas, scarfs, gloves, and even her loungewear and nightgowns. If you join us for her funeral, please wear something purple in her honor!
As a highly skilled secretary, she was the hub of decision making where little could be accomplished without Gail's expert planning and organizing skills. Outside of her professional life, she also raised her daughter Kristine and was a loving wife to Jack Crowell. Later in life, she fell in love with Franklin Dittmer and married him in 1998. The family instantly grew to having three loving daughters - Kristine, Laura and Barbara. Soon she had six grandchildren!
She also loved many doggies, kitties and bunnies throughout her childhood and adult life. A true passion for her and Frank were the years they so enjoyed golfing together. She loved walking, gardening, card making, cooking, decorating and in her younger years, skiing, snowmobiling and sunbathing!
Gail is survived by her husband Frank Dittmer, daughter Kristine Crowell (Susan Burden), daughter Laura Bainbridge (Chad), daughter Barbara Corby (Chris), brother Bill Gehrmann (Georgia, Kerri and Jason), grandchildren Rachel, Owen, Emma, Jack, Allie, and Charlie. She is lovingly reunited in heaven with her older brother Bob Gehrmann.
The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude for the loving and dedicated care Gail received at Angels Grace in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation on Gail's behalf to Angels Grace Hospice, The Alzheimer's Association or St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Muskego. When you told her you loved her, she'd always counter with, "I LOVE YOU MORE." We all LOVE YOU MORE, GG. May you rest in peace and contentment
