Age 80.  Went home to Heaven on August 31st, 2016.  Loving husband and best friend of his easy to get along with wife, Kathleen.  Beloved father of David (Judy) Layden and Kevin Layden.  Proud grandpa of David Jr. (Dani), Brian (Courtney), Jeremiah, and Tamara Layden.  Great-grandpa of Danika and Codye Layden.  Dear brother of Kay (David) Pennings. Special uncle to Taylor, Will & Ryan Davis, and Crystal Densmore.  Further survived by his sister-in-law Marge Crunkleton, nieces, nephews, and friends.  Gary was a bright and interesting man who worked at Allen-Bradley, taught Urban Affairs at UWM, and was involved in various community projects.  Proud U.S. Army Veteran.  He loved music, appreciated art, and tolerated the yellow paint spots that appeared throughout the house.  Memorial gathering at RiverGlen Christian Church at S31 W30601 Sunset Dr. Waukesha, WI 53189 on Tuesday September 6th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 6 p.m.
