McCammon, Gary Sanford Passed away on June 1, 2010, at the age of 51, after a battle with cancer. Gary is survived by his wife of over 26 years, Carole Lynne McCammon; son, Corban Delbert McCammon; daughters, Michelle Lynne McCammon and Nicole Jean McCammon, of Franklin, WI. He is also survived by his sister Karol Voigt, of Des Moines, IA; half-brother Terry McCammon, of Leroy, WV; and half-sister Kim McCammon, of Mazon, IL. Gary was a 1977 graduate of Prospect High School in Mount Prospect, IL, and attended the University of Arkansas for one year immediately following high school. It was there, on December 3, 1977, that Gary put his faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. He immediately began serving the Lord in many functions and entered the Moody Bible Institute in 1981, as a Pastoral Training major. He graduated with a three-year diploma in 1983, served an internship at a church in Iowa, married his sweetheart Carole, and then pursued his degree while working for an airline at O'Hare. He graduated with a five-year B.A. from Moody in 1986 and immediately enrolled at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, completing his course work for an M.A. in Christian Education in 1988. Gary was an ordained minister and pastored churches in Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin. He was an avid student of the Scriptures, loved incorporating his personal life lesions and stories into his sermons, exercised great hospitality, and was a devoted and loyal friend.Memorials:In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family, which will be used for an educational fund that will be created for the children, appreciated.Service:A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 5, 2010, at Our Savior's Wesleyan Church, S93 W30580 County Road NN, in Mukwonago, WI (262-363-8025). A buffet luncheon will follow at the same location.
