Age 72. Passed away in his home on August 15th. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Zajdel) for 42 years. Cherished father of Angela (Peter) Simon-Collins, Scott (Rachel) Simon, and Todd (Carolyn) Simon. Loving grandfather of Madison, Mackenzie, Arietta, Ansley, Annette, and Corbin. Further survived by his brother Randy, sister Vicky, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Audrey Simon.

Proud veteran of the Marine Corps. He continued to serve his community as a Milwaukee County Sheriff Deputy for 24 years.

Gary loved fishing, hunting, vacations by the ocean, and spending time with family and friends. He was a fan of Wisconsin sports teams and enjoyed cheering on his sons from youth sports through college as their #1 fan.

A visitation will be held on Friday August 20th at Hartson Funeral Home from 3pm to 5pm followed by a funeral service at 5pm.

He's now relaxing, pain-free, at a fishing hole in Heaven with his dad.
